Hugo Electric was awarded the entire $20 million electrical contract for the Woodward’s Redevelopment Project; the development is 1,000,000 square feet plus parkade.
Winner of the VRCA Landmark Project of the Year Award (2010), the Woodward’s Redevelopment Project consists of 6 structures on one city block. Located in the 100 block of West Hastings in Vancouver, the development combines 566 market suites and 75 non-market suites, along with commercial/retail and institutional arts space, all of which are designed to be socially, environmentally and economically sustainable. It is part of a larger effort to revitalize one of Vancouver’s historic neighbourhoods with the addition of up to 6,000 students and faculty, residents, shoppers, office and other workers.
